dynamic analysis not performing

Postby CHANDANA » Thu Feb 09, 2017 10:03 pm

Sir,

I was analysing a 3d frame model using OpenSeesMP by applying 2 ground input motions. But, i am obtaining an exactly same result values for both the ground motions for every time step. Also,the values are as same as the gravity analysis result. Dynamic analysis is not being performed. I am not able to track the reason for this. I kindly request for your help to solve this.

The main input file is as below:

wipe
set pid [getPID]
set Np [getNP]
set recordsFileID [open "peerRecord.txt" r]
set count 0;

source ReadRecord.tcl

set tStart [clock clicks -milliseconds]

foreach gMotion [split [read $recordsFileID] \n] {
if {[expr $count % $Np] == $pid} {

puts $pid
puts $Np

source modelanalysis.tcl

No sir, i have not defined the nodal mass. But, is it possible that dynamic analysis does not perform due to this.

the load if applied through a uniform motion is -M * accel .. if no mass no load

Thanks for this. I wasn't getting the solution for this issue. Did a google search landed up here, now a member.
