For people interested in compiling openseesMP and SP on linux, I was able to successfully compile the latest release (6236) of both on Arch Linux. The opensees PKGBUILD in the Arch User Repositories (AUR) has been update by Mickele here : https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/opensees/ .
It should be possible to follow the pkgbuild to compile on other distributions as well.
Note that the steeldr.f-bug.patch is not required to compile the parallel versions.
