ADAS model using Zero link element

Post by romaniitd » Sun Aug 23, 2015 2:05 am

Dear friends,
I had model RC frame with ADAS damper, which was supported by braces. Frame and brace connection is pin while ADAS was model as zero link element. Hysteretic Material was used as material of ADAS. Analysis has completed successfully but their is no contribution from ADAS i.e zero link is not taking any load. Their is no difference in lateral load carrying capacity of bare frame and ADAS frame. I can't understand what is the problem in zero link element. If somebody knows please share to me.

sounds like your support boundary conditions are incorrect.
