relative parameters

Post by pbzvmz » Mon Jul 05, 2010 4:34 am

Hi,
As we know acceleration, velocity, and displacement at nodes can be recorded by recorders and the output answers are their relatie values. I want to know which point are these outputs relative to?
thanks alot

the output are relative if you are doing a transient analysis with a uniform support motion .. if this is the case they are relative to the ground motion (as you should already know from the theory) .. otherwise they are absolute
