Strain output

Post by nmirzai » Mon Jun 24, 2019 8:28 am

Hi,

The uniaxial materials in OpenSees only give us total strains.
Since they are total strains, we have to take care of the fact that they are not necessarily monotonically increasing variables (as opposed to plastic strains). Therefore we need to compute a sort of absolute envelope in the time steps.

How can we extract the plastic strain?
