Moment curvature analysis fails due to convergence

Post by kesavapraba » Fri Jul 13, 2018 5:14 am

Dear Community
I used the moment curvature example given in the open sees wiki page to carry out section analysis with different section dimensions. But the analysis ended with an error due to convergence. I used the same concrete 01 and steel 01 materials. What could be the reason? Does the material model have any effect on this type of error? If yes, can you please suggest other material models for concrete and steel to avoid such convergence. Thanks

You can try Concrete02 and Steel02

Thanks for your reply Selimgunay. I used the Concrete02 and Steel02 model. Now, it works fine. Thanks
