Fatigue Material Recorder

Post by ebaf65 » Fri Jan 05, 2018 2:32 pm

Hi dear all,

I am using the following command to record the fatigue damage:

recorder Element -file $dataDir/Damage.out -time -ele 22 section 1 fiber [expr $coverSecC-$y1C] [expr $z1C-$coverSecC] $IDfatigue damage;

My problem is that, while the whole frame is severely damaged after IDA, the recorded damage values are unexpectedly small ( below 0.001).

Where is the problem?

Thanks in advance

Hi ebaf65 ,

Please, could you find a solution to the low damage values recorded ?
Do you mind sharing it here ? I have the same issue with my model. However when I test the fatigue material with a simple model of a single beam element loaded with a cyclic load, it works perfectly and the damage values are as expeted . I would also appreciate if you could email me directly at efioconstance@yahoo.com.

Thanks
