Precisely defined nonzero initial conditions

Post by ssami » Thu Dec 07, 2017 6:52 am

Hi everyone
I have a two degree of freedom system with nonzero initial displacements and velocities different at the two degrees of freedom. How I can analyze the free vibration of the system using time history analysis by defining Precisely initial conditions in OpenSees? Many thanks for your kind attention.

First you can do a pushover analysis that takes you to the initial displacements and run the free vibration analysis afterwards.
