Hi Silvia
I wonder whether it is possible to record the energy (eg, damping, strain) associated with each element or with whole structure at each step during time history analysis. I need to verify the energy balance of the system..
Thanks

you have to do it in post-processing, as everyone has his/her own definition of energy.

I am also interested in computing the energy of the system. Could you please elaborate on how we can do the computation of the energy (say strain +yielding) by post-processing?

it's all dependent on your definition of the energy. record displacements and forces where you need them.
