Buckling

Post by farhadghazi » Fri May 12, 2017 12:22 am

Hello all guys ...
I have modeled a steel moment frame , 4 Storey , 3 span , W-shape steel and fiber elements and I trying to consider column buckling .
How can i consider column buckling behavior in SMF's?

You can simulate global buckling using corotational transformation and a small initial offset in the middle of the element (could be 1/1000 of the element length).
