Curvature controlled analysis

Post by ShreyaThusoo » Mon Feb 13, 2017 7:29 pm

Dear experts,

I wanted to ask whether it is possible to do a curvature-controlled analysis instead of displacement-controlled analysis?

I have the curvature data from experiment done on a beam and wish to use that as an input rather than the nodal displacement. I understand that both are very different kinds of analyses as for the former, I only need to define the section rather than the whole geometry. I am also aware about Moment-Curvature analysis in OpenSees but that only gives me the moment-curvature relation and does not allow me to input curvatures as such.

Kindly advise me on how this can be achieved.

Thank you.

Regards,
Shreya
