New OpenSees version 2.4.6

Post by aenils » Thu Oct 22, 2015 7:48 am

Hi,

I just update the current version of OpenSees Program(2.4.6) before, I used version 2.4.5.
I run the pushover analysis in new version OpenSees but, I got the message as...

Truss::displaySelf() 1292Truss::displaySelf() 1293Truss::displaySelf() 1294Truss
::displaySelf() 1295Truss::displaySelf() 1296Truss::displaySelf() 1297Truss::dis
playSelf() 1298Truss::displaySelf() 1292Truss::displaySelf() 1293Truss::displayS
elf() 1294Truss::displaySelf() 1295Truss::displaySelf() 1296Truss::displaySelf()
1297Truss::displaySelf() 1298WARNING: CTestRelativeNormUnbalance::test() - fail
ed to converge
after: 20 iterations
NewtnRaphson::solveCurrentStep() -the ConvergenceTest object failed in test()
StaticAnalysis::analyze() - the Algorithm failed at iteration: 0 with domain at
load factor 0.0280179
OpenSees > analyze failed, returned: -3 error flag
Trying Newton with Initial Tangent ..

My model works fine for version 2.4.5. I don't know what the message is for. Is there anyone to help me what the message is for? Is there any error to my model or it's just display message.
your reply will be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi All,

I'm currently trying to run a pushover analysis on a one story chevron frame, model fails before reaches target displacement. The following error message occurs:

You can try to increase the maximum strain if that is okay for your model
