Error: Mean Consolidation Stress is Zero ???

Post by bayram_aygun » Tue May 13, 2008 7:28 pm

Hi,

My soil model comprises of Pyliq1, PDMY, FSP and quad elements. When I run it in v1.7.5Beta (no other version supports it :( ) I get error saying that "Mean Consolidation Stress is Zero" and that ru (pore pressure ratio) cannot be calculated because there is a division by zero.

This may be the result of an unsuccessful gravity analysis but my gravity analysis is conducted just fine. I update the liquefiable Pyliq1 material and PDMY and FSP before I conduct my transient analysis. I don't understand why I get this error.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time,

you've got to make sure this bug hasn't already been fixed into 2.0
