CVS error, plz check, Thank you!
The server reported an error while performing the "cvs update" command.
OpenSees: cvs update: failed to create lock directory for `/usr/local/cvs/OpenSees/SRC/reliability/analysis/telm' (/usr/local/cvs/OpenSees/SRC/reliability/analysis/telm/#cvs.lock): Permission denied
OpenSees: cvs update: failed to obtain dir lock in repository `/usr/local/cvs/OpenSees/SRC/reliability/analysis/telm'
OpenSees: cvs [update aborted]: read lock failed - giving up
Problem occurred at the reliability module. It has last for 2 days. Maybe somebody forgot to check in some files.

have problem with the mass matrix
Hi, silvia and frank,
Happy new year! Thank you!
some SOE classes, inheritance from the EigenSOE class, have the private member *M and some Solver classes have the pointer *Mptr
but, in my tracking debugging procedure, i found that there is no numerical assignment to that Matrix - M.
Only the M matrix has been set to be zero.
so, can you help me by introducing some information about that where is the matrix storage in Ops .exe?
the global and local matrix storage strategy?? K, M , C, and Force or B Vector???
thank you!
best regards,
Ning.

which class or method takes instance of the procedure??
which class or method takes instance of the procedure that transfor the general eigenvalue problems into standard eigenvalue problems???
and i think frank you could let me know whether this function was been achieved in the lapack or arpack functions???
thanks very much!

How can i obtain the Load value in Pushover procedure?
When i use the displacement control pushover analysis procedure, i want to obtain the exactly values of LoadPattern.
It means that i want to know the load factor value, with which i can calculate the load value.
Load factor * LoadPatternValue = External Force
isn't it right?
how can i get the load factor value in the analysis procedure?
And are there any methods could be used in obtaining the applied external force??
My model is not simple, the component internal force may not used to obtain the External force...
who can help me!?
Thanks very much!
best regards,
Ning

Save and Restore Command failure
The database command using File saves the model state is working well.
The SAVE command procedure working well, it generate many state files, however the RESTORE command reports errors like this,
o, the scripts come from the Help Html web site:
http://opensees.berkeley.edu/OpenSees/m ... nual/HTML/
I just test Ex5 and Ex7. In Ex5, I ran the pushover script and save model state. After that, I open another Ops, the restore command give out the errors quoted like above.
Thanks!

silvia, could you please tell me new stable .exe address
i saw the user/download page
and there are some changes there, the stable exe file has changed, but i cant download the file.
In the excution with 1.7.3 OpenSees, it is much faster than before, but there are still many unstable features.
i found there is a output stream may rush out, and the screen begin to be black(rushed by the black output). the cursor is stay at the bottom of my console(whether 1.7.3 on windows or 1.7.4.beta on linux).
but in 1.7.0.exe, the script runs ok.
how can i solve this problem~!? thankyou !
