Removing the displacement due gravity from dynamic stage
Dear community, I am running a slope stability analysis which consists of two stages -gravity and dynamic analysis. I need to remove the displacement mobilised in the gravity stage so that the recorded displacement in the dynamic stage starts from zero! Any idea will be much appreciated! Kind regard...

Site response analysis
Dear Community, I created a model consists of 8-nodes brick elements to study the site response analysis (The soil column is subjected to earthquake loading at its base)! When I use the PDM02 material the results are convincing! However, when I simply change the material to manzari-dafalias model th...

Dynamic-triaxial
Dear all, I am trying to calibrate Cz and Zmax parameters for Marzari-Dafalias model using cyclic triaxial tests. Now, I am trying to increase the number of cycles to approach liquefaction by using arbitrary values for Cz and Zmax. Kindly, may you suggest any idea for doing this procedure in a syste...

Hi all,
I am asking about the reason for using ground motion as velocity instead of acceleration in all site responses examples in the OpenSees wiki. Any idea will be appreciated.
Kind regards
Bashar
